Consultation | | Rags To Stitches Productions is a full service design and development company capable of developing a complete package for your business needs. From corporate identity to branding to print materials to the most complicated full service solution for your web needs - all of these are within the range of our abilities. So when we meet or teleconference we discuss your needs, budget, design expectations and costs. We get to know what you wish your company image to be. We collect your available marketing material and your long range business plan, and use these, along with our conversation, to develop the initial design and site structure (below). If you want to take advantage of our marketing and advertising talent we also discuss what your goals are for marketing, the adverising mediums you wish to use and what you want from a marketing plan. At this time we also identify who in your company will be our project contact and who will make up your web development team. Expertise from management and marketing are essential for all company's teams. The other members may vary according to your business or institutional goals. If desired, a non-disclosure agreement can be executed at this time or as sensitive material is provided. To initiate the Non-Disclosure Agreement we provide you with a URL and password, and you may review and print the document at your convenience. There is no charge for the initial meeting.

Design proposal
| | In order to retain our services and begin the development of your web site we require 100% payment up front for sites $750 and less, and a minimum 50% deposit for sites exceeding $750. Once the development of your site is underway, portions of the balance are due in 15 day increments, or the full 50% balance is due upon completion whichever comes first. We then present for your approval our marketing plan and site design concept layouts and site structure. We also agree to a long range maintenance plan for your site although no payments for this are included in the project services contract. What follows are the procedures for website development. However, this process is applicable to all types of project development.

Final proposal

A final graphic design and information architecture for the site is agreed to. Project scheduling, areas of responsibility and development of the web site content.

Project progress

Project meetings are held on a regular basis as agreed upon during the contract negotiations.

Site testing
| |
Once site construction is complete initial testing of the site is done to insure usability and that the site is user friendly, as well as any other issues such as browser compatibility.

Final publishing

The completed site is published to the web and final contractual obligations are due.

Marketing of the site
| |
Included in the Final Publishing phase we post the site to a predetermined number of search engines. We also research and post press releases to appropriate news and print publications. We can also monitor the newsgroups and email discussion groups and answer appropriate questions in regards to your web site and products, as well as any web inquiries directed to the webmaster address from your visitors.

Updating the site

Web site maintenance is available on an hourly or contractual basis. Web maintenance consists of updating the site with new content, adding new links to and from other web sites and resubmitting the site to various search engines so as to maintain a high ranking. We recommend the web maintenance contract described on the pricing page, as it will save you costly, hourly fees as well as benefit your new site.

Monitoring site ratings and statistics

We also monitor your ranking on a frequent basis with the top ten search engines and submit reports to you. Additionally, analysis of site traffic can be performed.
